Step 1.

We would welcome the opportunity to help you visualise your dream African experience. Our expert team will carefully guide you with curating an itinerary. Please get in touch and let us arrange a call for a complimentary consultation.

Step 2.

Commitment Fee!

If you are agreeable with WHY curating your travel arrangements after the first call, we request a commitment fee before we provide a first proposal. Should you book your holiday through WHY Travel, this commitment fee will be applied as a credit towards the total trip cost. This is actioned when we invoice for the balance payment.

Should you decide not to book with WHY Travel for whatever reason, or cancel your holiday, you will forfeit the full commitment fee. This then covers our professional time spent on your itinerary.

  • 0 – 6 guests traveling – USD$500
  • 6 – 10 guests traveling – $1000
  • More than 10 guests – $1500

Step 3.


Once we have received the commitment fee we will curate a personalized itinerary for your consideration and approval. Further conversations will ensue to ensure we hone and refine the ultimate African experience. We take your desire to visit Africa seriously and we relish giving our travelers those special, elevated elements that make all the difference.Thats why we encourage all travelers to share as much input as possible. It helps us dream with you.

Kindly note that WHY Travel does not book International Flights.
We do facilitate Aircraft Handling Assistance to those individuals who prefer to travel with their own aircraft. We also provide comprehensive assistance with chartering aircraft.

Step 4.

Sign off and deposit payment!

Once your expectations are met and the final itinerary has been signed off, our team will require a deposit payment to secure the itinerary.

Payment options include wire transfer or credit card. We accept all major credit cards. There is a fee of 3.5% applied to payments made by credit card.

It is a normal part of the planning process for further fine tuning to continue after the deposits are settled with local airlines, hotels, lodges and villas.

Step 5.

Balance Payment

The balance payment will be invoiced up to 90 days before the date of travel (different suppliers have different T&Cs). The commitment fee will be deducted from the balance amount due.

Final travel itineraries and packing lists will be shared 14 days before travel, along with other helpful information for your trip. Kindly note that throughout this process your WHY Travel consultant will be available to you (Central African Time hours)for any questions you may have.
