The Republic of Congo, also known as Congo-Brazzaville, is a vibrant and diverse country located in Central Africa. Bordered by Gabon, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Atlantic Ocean, it offers a unique blend of lush rainforests, expansive savannahs, and beautiful coastline. Odzala-Kokoua National Park, one of Africa’s oldest national parks, shelters a wealth of wildlife, including forest elephants, western lowland gorillas, and forest buffalos

The Democratic Republic of Congo experiences a tropical climate, and the best time to visit is during the dry season from June to September and December to February. This period allows for more accessible gorilla trekking in Virunga National Park and Nyiragongo Volcano hiking. While the rainy season from March to May and October to November brings lush vegetation, it can make trekking more challenging.
